LIBERDADE
Located in a traditional neighbourhood of downtown São Paulo, the residencial Liberdade seeks the belonging of the youngsters to the heart of the city, creating a diverse and multicultural community that adopts new ways of living, without losing sight of the connection with its roots. For the Sales Stand of this project, TODOS designed two decorated apartments, one with 19m² and the other with 29 m²
The 29m² apartment unites kitchen, bedroom and living room in a harmonious and clever way, seeking to make the lives of its residents more practical and integrated. At the apartment entrance the kitchen was designed in a single linear bloc adopting solutions to maximise the space usage. Here the highlight is the kitchen countertop that serves as a support for meal preparation and a cozy dining area.
On the opposite side, a charming wood slatted panel mimics the doors of the closet and bathroom visually organizing the apartment entrance. The same panel enters the space, creating a visual unity and serving as a headboard for the bed.
The bathroom gained a tactile minimalist atmosphere where gray and white shades predominate accentuated by the black details of the metal finishing. The floor tile, with its texture, brings the tactile atmosphere. Here the sensation is about stepping on delicate rolled pebbles.
In 29m² a cleaver layout is fundamental to the maximum use of the space. In order to create two environments, the bed was positioned in the corner of the apartment. The joinery serves as a chest and, passing the bed, becomes a support shelf for the living room area and rack for the TV.
The oriental roots of the Liberdade neighborhood appear subtly throughout the project. The lowered bed refers to the feeling of fall asleep in a cozy futon. The wooden pattern, present in the joinery and the decorative luminaire, refers to the tones of bamboo wood.
The living room space has a natural and neutral color palette and, when integrated with the balcony, provides a solar and relaxing atmosphere. The ideal place to relax and disconnect from the city.
The second apartment reunites the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom in just 19m². With a clever design, that favors multifunctionality, the apartment received a generous bench in joinery. Starting in the kitchen, it runs through the entire apartment, concentrating several uses. Storage spaces and seats for the dining space share the same structure. Solutions for a more practical and integrated life.
Opposite to the kitchen, the masonry walls of the bathroom were replaced with “blindex” structures, allowing the natural light from the balcony reaches the space. The sink was positioned aside, integrated with the room, allowing a separate use in relation to the bathroom. Highlight for the curtain that plays the role of hiding the cabinets and sink module.
The light tones applied throughout the apartment provide the diffusion of natural light, making the space lighter and wider. Complete the natural atmosphere the woodwork finishes of the joinery, the blue gradients applied to the formica coverings and the production details.
Multifunctionality is present everywhere, as in the bed that also acts as a sofa and the headboard that converts into an office table for a home office integrated with the balcony. Here the working hours are sunny and cheerful.
