This Coliving project transformed an old hotel, located in São Paulo downtown, into a space inspired by new ways of living, sharing and living together. Here, the architecture was designed to connect people who seek a more compact, integrated and intelligent life.
In the COLIVING building mezzanine, is located a space for shared use. Equipped kitchen, communal tables and living room are part of the generous living space. Colors, graphics, urban materiality and super flexible furniture print out the young and funky vibe to space.
At the back of the mezzanine, a work area was designed. There, the residents have a large open space with tables and benches for quick and informal meetings. Regular meeting rooms are also available for moments of privacy.
The rooms of the old hotel, with different sizes and formats, have been transformed into real units of living. Keeping the existing layout and all electrical and hydraulic facilities, these units got a micro kitchen, new furniture and a see-through panel that work as the edge between the living and bedroom area. The graphics and the different compositions of colors applied on the walls bring diversity and personality to each apartment.

The basement, a previous simple technical area, was completely restructured, receiving a diverse program and space of sharing use. In this space, the laundry is shared and the bike rack has a small repairs workshop in the best Do it Yourself style!
The lower ceiling height of the basement, the absence of natural lighting and the concrete architectural shell gave an intimate vibe to a charming Sub Bar that was also installed in this place. Indirect lighting made by the many table lamps from the old rooms of the hotel is a highlight.
