A couple with three daughters and a dog were looking for a home that combined the lightness and freshness of Rio de Janeiro with the modernity of São Paulo. Thus, this 330 m² house, located in the Alto da Boa Vista neighborhood in the city of São Paulo, received an interior design project executed quickly by TODOS Arquitetos, without many interventions in the existing space, but with a selection of furniture and objects that translate the “urban beach house” atmosphere.
The main modifications were concentrated on painting, decoration, and lighting. Walls were neutralized in shades of white to expand the feeling of space and luminosity. The palette is of neutral colors, with occasional touches of vibrant tones, and the use of natural materials such as wood, straw, and rattan reinforce the contemporary beach concept of the home.
In the gourmet area, we prioritized practicality and functionality, creating a space for meals and social gatherings. Right next to it, integrated by glass doors, is the dining room. The environment is marked by the Acítara pendant lamp, made with three layers of linen, designed by designer Cris Bertolucci, and the Sense dining table with a red lacquer finish, by Líder, a memorable and impactful combination – as requested by the clients.
This project challenged us to create transformative solutions without the need for construction, resulting in a home that combines delicacy and personality in a striking way.
The living room, facing the outdoor area, connects to nature and integrates the entire social area. The Fofo H400 sofa and the Guaruçá armchair, by Líder, the latter designed by Mauricio Arruda, are key pieces to enhance the volume of the space.
The home office is marked by the bookcase designed exclusively for the project. The piece of furniture made of natural freijó wood and straw was designed to meet the needs of a versatile environment, ideal for both crafts and work, without isolating family life, as it is integrated into the living room.
On the second floor, the TV room came alive with walls in the Natural Stone color, by Tintas Coral, and with the sofa upholstered with terracotta striped fabric, by Eco Simple, designed by Mauricio Arruda.
With floral wallpaper and a palette in shades of pink, the girls’ room, for 6 and 8-year-olds, has a playful theme but can be easily adapted to accompany the children’s growth.
The oldest daughter’s room, 13 years old, has a mystical and boho atmosphere, marked by more sober colors, which reflect her personality. Highlights include the Flor headboard, by Casa Cahaya, and the Praia lamp, by MAU.
