Changing the common areas of Novotel Morumbi using new concepts and identities was the mission proposed by Accor Brazil. The main guideline was the development of less formal, cozier spaces that could conquer the guests and invite them to experience relaxing moments.
The technological interaction was also a new characteristic to be implemented in the ambiences, such as the convenience of online check-in and check-out.
The heart of the design is the gourmet bar, which takes most of the space and spreads to three other areas: reception desk, kidults (for interaction between children and parents), and working area. The reception desk became a secondary space in the new layout with a clean decoration that has an entire wall with the map of Sao Paulo.
The secondary spaces designed to the individual use of the guests for work or activities that require concentration received domes of joinery where it is possible to forget everything around.
With a timeless design and multifunctional furniture, the spaces received expressive lighting in order to characterize each area. In the gourmet bar, the ceiling lights with bubble shape match with the neutral pantone with color spots.
