Embraced by the theme of “Brazilianness”, the 2015 edition of Casa Cor opened its doors with inspiring spaces that had some of Brazilian culture.

The Casa Cor store – by Duratex – also received the best of the national handicraft with a design by Mauricio Arruda and curated by Zizi Carderari – one of the authorities in contemporary and artisanal design of Brazil.

With a lot of personality and identity, the space showed a mix of products ranging from the old Brazilian design with artisanal pieces, to the young contemporary design that is emerging in the current scenario. In addition, all the products were available for purchase.

The idea came from the native Brazilian Indians handcrafted baskets and we got that design that can be seen on the walls, ceiling, and floor. It is a mixture of two Duratex products.

— Maurício Arruda, creative director.

The geometry of the space contrasts with the colorful coating of Duratex’s color palette, which refers to the old window frames of Jockey Club, the host of the event. Marcelo Rosenbaun’s wallpaper and the ceiling light specially designed by Ana Neute and Rafael Chvaicer gave more “brazility” to the decoration.
